Susan began working at Valencia in 1986 as a business education instructor in a self-paced lab for a corporate client. In 1988 she became program manager for the Office Systems Technology Institute as part of the Open Campus, the corporate and continuing education department at that time. She managed five learning centers at corporate locations as well as open enrollment and agreement courses.
Susan attended the University of Florida and the University of South Florida and holds a B.A. degree in Business Education. Her background includes teaching high school in Seminole and Escambia Counties and Okinawa, conducting contract training for government employees in Washington, D.C., instructing military personnel in Hawaii, Washington, Virginia, and North Carolina, and several years as a professor at Coastal Carolina Community College in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
She is currently a program manager with Valencia Enterprises, managing licensing and certification programs, online courses, open enrollment and agreement business courses, and an on-site testing center which administers state and national certification exams.
